The Prime Minister has just announced a General Election for the 8th June.May says she needs an election now because other parties are opposed to the government’s Brexit plans.
May says she has only recently come to this conclusion.May says she will move a motion in the Commons tomorrow proposing an election on 8 June.
How will landlords be voting?!?
... I should say id hope people vote on local Members of Parliament on there record and there manifesto rather than party lines but since that's a idealistic dream rather than reality.
There is only one way to Vote - that is for the lesser evil being the Conservative Party.
Have to put country before selfish interests (Section 24 (Tenant Tax) and other changes) - It would be impossible to find myself voting for a Far Left Hippy such as Jeremy Corbyn he is more close to communism than to centre.Id rather Vote for Liberal Undemocratic Party and as a Brexiter that is saying something. Then we have UKIP circling the drain after getting there dream and Nigel jumping ship.
Whilst id say the Conservative Party are the party for Landlords.
Id certainly put cash towards a Landlord campaign to unseat Conservative Housing Minister Gavin Barwell in his Marginal Seat of Croydon Central send a message to Conservative Party by overturning his tiny 0.3% majority.

I find PT a useful forum for property issues. Please let us not turn PT into a platform for political propaganda - there are plenty of other places you can go to do that (maybe head to The Torygraph?). Let's keep personal personal political views off the site. Fortunately we don't all share yours.
Its fine to ask but that will be a clear No. It is great you have different views to me, its a shame you want to silence opposition rather than debate them - in a topic about politics.Though you did make a presumption - I don't support this Faux Conservative Party. They are just the best of a bad bunch. haha I just said we should vote one of them out.
Don't be pathetic. I'm sure it doesn't do you justice.
I don't want to 'silence opposition' (obviously, if you read my post). I just don't think you do the site of its readers justice by posting political propaganda on PT. As I said, there are plenty of other forums available.
BTW, there wasn't a presumption. Just a suggestion.
Whilst on a general basis I would agree with you but with Section 24 and the extra stamp duty a significant number of landlords have said they will not vote conservative again, it will therefore be interesting to hear their views now an election has been called.
@EssexLL It will be a tricky question for many .If I had to put money on it id think we will see less Landlords going to the voting booth to vote Conservative, a loss of enthusiasm.I doubt it would translate in people voting for Far Left Labour, or Liberal Undemocratic party.
Take for instance Landlord dislike for Section 24 (Tenant Tax) fine, but not sure how that would drive anyone to vote for Corbyn who's political ideology is that of no private housing and the big state.
Although maybe pro-remain landlords will lean towards LibDem... Though then you read "Liberal Democrats want to radically reform the private rented sector to make it cheaper" hmm... Scary perhaps.
@RickyJules - no. Its a topic about politics. If you dont want to read politics discussion, then id suggest not to click on the politics topic. The problem with what you suggest - sticking to The Telegraph or for the left The Guardian is that you live in a political bubble, giving confirmation bias. No - that bad way of forming or reforming political opinions.
Ricky Jules, being a landlord has become very political over the last 2 years.
I, against my best financial interests voted Labour in the last General Election.
However, due to current state of the LP, I'll be voting LD in June.
Anyone voting UKIP is seriously deranged imo.
Dom Glynn, I can only say 'ditto here'. It sounds like we are brothers in arms them.
Ricky Jules, Mr P Barret will be along in a minute. I'll get my coat.
I've never voted Conservative, and I certainly won't be starting now. I do wish Jeremy Corbyn would stand down, but I haven't made my mind up between Labour and the Lib Dems yet. My vote will have nothing to do with what may advantage/disadvantage me personally.
