    Hello My Name is...and I'm from...I like...

Hi, My Name is...actually Adam, snowbaked is obviously just my handle.

So after about 14 years in Management Consultancy, having a great time travelling the world I decided to head into property full-time.

Time was really a huge issue being out of the country about 3/4 days a week, although excuses excuses. So last year after a lot of discussions I started working for my father, who has been in property for along time. His company is dormant, and it will offer some great opportunities once I can agree facilities with the bank. That will be a development / value add stream.
Myself I also dabble in BTL through as a lot of people becoming an accidental landlord for my wife's flat. I am now managing the residential portfolio of my dad's company and have got some good experience, and learnt quite a 'lessons'.

I have finally pulled my finger out again in terms of my own passive portfolio, as I spent a lot of time looking in a specific area last year (Reading) as we already have some developments and a portfolio there. I didn't really find any deals which stacked up well. Plus its seemed very hot, so I've switched to another area abit closer to home, which I think has good capital potential and rental demand. So here goes...

Thank you Vanessa, and I thought your interview on the recent 'Property Investor' podcast was great. It made me realise how much I had missed using PT over the last couple of weeks.

    Hi Adam,

Only just came across your posting so sorry for not responding sooner. We are investing in Reading (and Bracknell) and it works for us, but I can see that there are challenges as property values are climbing quickly. If you are over Reading way at some point please get in touch, perhaps we can share respective experiences there.

    Best,

    Guy
