    HELP - Quotes from Showerfitter

    Hi PT Members

I have had varying quotes 1. £300 for 1 day 1 person to  £900 for 2 days 2 people - for replacing an existing shower quadrant & enclosure. New one is the same size as the existing one. I am struggling to get anyone to come out to give me a quote in the first place, I managed to get 2 tradesman out after calling over 20, the quotes they gave were above.

I started the job myself and managed to get the enclosure down but for time and personal reasons I wanted a professional to come out and complete it instead.

I think this is a day job for a professional who knows what they are doing but I wanted confirmation or am I wildly off and is it in fact  a 2 day 2 man job, What do you think?

It does need a small amount of tiling where it would meet the tray.

    Thank you in advance.

If its a like for like swap with a small bit of tiling then at a push you're looking at a trade day rate which at the most for that would be £200. How are you finding your trades ?

    Thanks for your reply.

I have asked people I know in the local area, Checkatrade (similar sites) and Yell.

Before we got quotes we were thinking it would be around £200 too.

I think you need a handyman not a showerfitter. It's too small a job to be worthwhile for a specialist. Advertise on MyBuilder for a handyman who can do a simple shower fit, or message me and I'll pass you a recommendation.
