    HMO tour day

    Hi

I was wondering if anyone has been to a HMO tour day to learn from more experienced landlords, and if so, how useful was it?

Are you already a landlord Meze?

If not, I doubt it would be much help to you.

You need to learn the fundamentals first before jumping into HMO's imho.

If you do already have experience, Nick Leatherland (find him on Facebook), does a HMO day tour and the proceeds go to charity.

Haven't been on it myself, but heard good reports.

    Hi Mez,

As you can never learn less, I think an HMO tour day is worth doing.  However, there may be an agenda behind it to sell you training or HMO deals.  Nothing wrong in that, but be aware of it. It's likely a property for sale, as I cannot imagine tours being conducted with tenants in residence.

You could just contact and HMO landlord and ask if you could meet them for lunch and have a chat.

You may also like to look into Platinum Property Partners and attend one of their Discovery Days.  We recently had an interview with one of their franchise partners:
