How can Wi-Fi promote social inclusion

According to ‘Our Property’ a Housing Association is a not-for-profit organisation which owns, lets and manages rental housing. Housing associations promote social inclusion, yet digital inclusion and Internet access for social housing has taken it’s time to break through into the housing association market. Housing association Wi-Fi could bring social inclusion, educational benefits, jobs and a new way of managing finance.

    What do you think?

My impression is that many low income households prefer to just have smartphone Internet access - which they do need to apply both for Benefits and Jobs.

Shelter say average gross household income in Social Housing is around £10k pa.

That's barely 56% of the £18k household income for PRS tenants

Indeed you can get a SIM only contract for £27 for 100gb including  30gb of wi-fi hotpot.

    Download speed

    11mbps

    Upload

    2mbps

    All on the 3 network.

    Fortunately  I have a 3 legacy contract

Unlimited data on phone and 30gb as a hotpot.

I regularly  use 100gb per month

    No landlines service at all.

I only ended up with this due to the accursed 3 terminating my wonderful  One Plan.

I will never forgive 3 for that though I'm still a customer  of theirs as there is no other better deal.
