How to add an image to Property Tribes

You have two options to add an image to this site.  One is via screenshot/upload, the other is via URL.

    Adding a screenshot

    On a Mac.

Press Command/Shift/4 and it will bring up a little square that you can then use to expand over the thing you want to screen shot.

Release and you will hear a click like a camera shutter.

The shot will be saved to your computer - probably on your desktop.

To upload to PT, click on the picture button (2nd from right above) and use the "choose file" option.

Select the screenshot you want to add and press 'open" then "okay" and the screenshot will appear in your post. Smile

This is also the process to use if you are uploading any image from your desktop.

    Adding via a URL

Right click on the image you want to add to the site, and choose "Copy image address" option from the drop down menu that appears.

Return to Property Tribes and click on "image" button in the rich text editor at the top of your post.  It's the box next to the one saying "youtube" on the far right.

This will offer you the option of "upload" or URL.

Click the URL tab and paste your picture URL into the post.

Then press "okay" to insert the image into your post.

I'm trying to add an image to a post.

When I click 'add' image' and select and upload the file, it appears as a thumbnail but, when I press ok I get the 'whirling' busy sign but then nothing shows in the post.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Testing.

Just added a picture no problem, so it must be something at your end.  Perhaps a weak internet signal struggling to up-load a picture or the picture is too large?

What is the max image size please?

Just tried it again now, with this post and still nothing :-(

That picture I just up-loaded was 1.4 MB although I re-sized it afterwards to make it smaller.

If you want to send the image and the link to the thread where you want to insert it, to me, I will have the Moderator insert it into your post for you, if that helps?

Got it working now. I used a different photo and it appears to be ok.

    Thanks anyway though.

    All the best
