    How to assess rental demand?

How do we all assess rental demand?

I can't seem to see a thread from Vanessa on this? I'm sure there must be one Smile

I'm afraid i still use the basic tools of rightmove and phoning local agents. rightmove tells you how many flats/houses are available to rent within a certain area and how many have been let recently. (overall demand is dependant on supply relative to demand for that specific area) - there might only be 10 properties to rent vs 200 for the same 1/4 radius but if its out in the sticks vs london then it might be relatively there's a stronger demand in london. nothing beats a few phone calls to different agents - they'll be slightly biased but some good leading questions can often get the truth or close too.
