  • Leasehold Property

Investment opportunity - buying 5 year lease?

    Hello all

    https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/pro...atest-news

I saw this news on express about buying a property for £15k in london and had made enquriy on the property. This is the first time i have heard of this kind of investment and its looks like a turnkey investment. I very much appriciate and would  like to hear your professional opinion on investing on this kind of deal.

    Thank You

Why do you see it as a "turnkey" investment?

    What is the monthly rent?

What is the annual service charge?

There is no possibility of extending the lease, so, unfortunately, I do not see any investment potential at all.

The only benefit could be the possible income from renting it out for the remaining 5 years of the lease. You'd have to factor in service charge, letting agent (if used), void periods etc. There will clearly be no appreciation of the property. Personally I'd walk on but its up to you. Good luck
