  • HMO & Multi-Lets

Is the business performing, how is its value.

I was working on a key indicator report, for my accommodation business and I recalled a text  someone wrote some years ago, where they sought  a way to sell rooms indivdually, instead of, or alongside letting, i.e. a room with a value of 30k, then can be sold for 30k.

A Limited Company has shares and assets, if the business is performing well, this is shown in the accounts.  A business performing well attracts investors.

A Limited company has a number of investor shares, the total value of all the shares is, the total value of the HMOs as noted in the respective investment valuation(s).  The valuation reports are revised annually, and the share value adjusted accordingly. Thus, the rooms are sold to investors, by way of shares.

I am not sure if this is of relevance to people, but I thought I would notarise it, as it is an avenue, a way to demonstrate to members of staff, the financial performance of the business, so they can adjust their role & activites, and the business reduce cost accordingly.
