    I've done it!!!

For those of you who regularly buy and sell property this is probably no biggie, but after 2 years of planning and hoping I've achieved a milestone.

I finally completed on the sale of my inherited property, (after a 19 month void, mostly due to a non paying tenant, but partly due to the property being held in trust) on 25th January and today I've just won, at auction, the property below.

This was a decision of the heart rather than the head.

I've paid 5% more than I thought it was worth, just because I like the sea views across the Bristol Channel ( I had allowed 10% contingency for this folly).

Now the fun can really begin... after a sit down and a stiff drink!

Thank you Vanessa. I'll update any developments, there is certainly potential.

Congrats Gary! Was it based on your heart because it has a Greggs? =)

Thanks Derek. To be honest, I prefer The Cornish Bakehouse, but Greggs isn't bad.

    Well done Gary,

I don't know you but I agree that it's such a great feeling to buy something at auction. My most memorable experience was at an Allsop auction, I had a stiff drink beforehand on a hot sunny day and it went straight to my head.... I could hardly hold then pen when I wrote the cheque out for the deposit. The journey since has been great and I wish you all the best on yours!

I went from completely composed to unable to form words in about 30 seconds. Once is probably enough for me.

    Congratulations Gary

I have bought a number of Properties at auction over the past 7 years and all have proven to be great decisions...I'm sure you'll have no regrets ?

Thanks Dave. I've been aware of this property for around a year and couldn't find another that came close.

Congratulations! Nice to have a Greggs paying a solid rental to you! Sort of company that will remain in situ for a long time.

That may be short lived as there's another Greggs in the same street. Plans B,C and D are already in place though.
