With the Conservatives intent on self destructing, the possibility of Corbyn being given the keys to No 10 feels an ever increasing possibility.

Thanks Vanessa - I've just read through the comments on the first link and that was enough reading for one day - I now plan to lie down for the remainder of the morning as my head feels somewhat dizzy.
I'm not convinced that he will target all landlords.
As a lodger/resident landlord I anticipate very little change, if any.
As a commercial/STL landlord I anticipate a rise in business rates and/or council tax, but little more.
As for leveraged residential landlords... I wouldn't like to even hazard a guess.
We'll all be sent to Gulags.

The two together sounds like Armageddon, I’ll move as well, probably together with another 10 million people ?.
You'd only sell if you were able to sell. The pound would become worthless and the financial services sector would collapse. Who would be willing and able to buy your properties?

I have said in a Number of Blogs If I was an expanding Landlord I would not buy until after the Next Election
I'm in the North so I don't see the PRS in the eyes of a SE Landlord so the effect on the North will not have great effect with a Labour Govt
What we haven't had we cant miss
I feel If labour did win the next election we will go back to the 1970s a time I remember well
Secure Tenancy and Rent Control will follow and we could go back to the same place we were Pre AST
For this very reason I think Landlords should diversify now and don't load yourself with BTL Debt
I think all areas of the PRS would be effected
be it a personal owner or a Ltd Co owner
This is the very reason I have been investing away from BTL
My Back Stop Is to have separate income which I can live on with out property investment
I think if we had an election it will be the most important election of all time
every business in the uk has to worry not only BTL
I think it is folly to rely on one income source in 2018 as you may find the well has dried up with the next Govt especially if its Labour
