  • Section 24 HQ

Landlord creates publicity to kill Section 24

This eye-catching billboard is one landlord's reaction to Section 24.

What makes someone pay for a billboard?

This is a bill board created David Heard as a reaction to the tax the Government would rather keep quiet.

Definitely need these erected all over the country and perhaps one published as a paid advert in Osborne's paper.

    WOW.

That has more impact than anything I've seen so far.    We paid £50k to keep Cherie Blair in shoes.   I for one will donate to this if it becomes a campaign.

In Fact, I pledge £250 if this becomes a campaign.   The last campaign was fought in the courts. Bravo Steve Bolton et al,  they had the balls (and I did contribute`) , but it did seem doomed to failure from the beginning.   Why?

    Legally it had no case.

Why would I now support the above with further funds?   Because the above hits the point home.   It's all about PUBLIC OPINION.  The Government will always beat you on  a point of law.   But the thing they FEAR the most, just like the markets in London, is MARKET SENTIMENT/PUBLIC OPINION.   Once this sways, they cave in EVERY TIME.

I'D LOVE THAT BANNER IN BURY.   IVE NEVER PUT UP RENTS IN 5 YEARS UNTIL SECTION 24.      ASK YOUR MP WHAT THIS MEANS.  He/She probably won't know.

This needs to be spread through Facebook etc

Let the tenants know in advance what is about to happen to the rental market.

I would however prefer PROPERTY TRBES rather than 118.

This is not the time for Blog squabbles , Sec 24 affects us all. If we're going for economy of scale, have both web addresses printed ?

Would it be possible to get these banners or posters.

I would put mine outside my Southend house and I would but a smaller one in one of my flat winows.

ALSO something for cars.like cabs have.

Only downside is the cars and properties might be attacked by the LL haters.

Most LL need to keep a low profile. .

Us and our assets are likely to be damaged etc.

If every LL paid just £1 per month into a general fighting fund  just imagine what could be done!!!

That would be £2 million per month.

    £24 million a year!!!

All that economic  power for the PRS for £1 per month!!!!!!!

Couldn't there be a crowd funding exercise  for LL to set up a SO for £1 per month to a relevant body

I reckon Vanessa could be the trustee and honest broker to manage campaigns in the PRS and dole out campaign  money etc.

Perhaps the NLA and RLA could be persuaded to merge and given funding grants to campaign for the PRS.

£1 can be a very powerful weapon if there are enough of them!

Surely all LL can spare a £1  a month!?
