Legal advice - monthly support service?

    Hi
I am looking for a service where I can legal adevice on consumer law , rental issues etc.
I found "which" who offers this service  for £38 for first month and £9 after that without fixed term contract. £29 is the set up fees.

If you have used this or recommend any other please let me know.

    Cheers

Have you looked at legal cover under your Home Insurance policy? Maybe you can get a similar deals as an add on for a cheaper price. It all depends on the level of advice you need and whether you want to go independent or part of your insurance.

Also I think the landlord associations offer a good support so good to subscribe to it and see if they offer something that meets your needs. These associations are also a call away from giving you general support where legal route might not be needed.

I would have thought that joining a landlord association would be just the ticket.

Property Tribes is partnered with the Residential Landlords Association (RLA) and PT members can enjoy a 25% discount off membership.

The RLA offer a monthly legal up-date service, a legal help line, and you can access all the templates and forms you need to be a landlord.

I used Which Legal recently for a non-property issue. They supported me superbly. I had unlimited consultations for the 4 months it took to successfully fight my case (I tended to book 2 or 3 two-hour sessions per week). The quality of the advice was superb. I can’t imagine what this would have cost me if I’d have gone to conventional solicitor. I think I pay around £88 per year.

the last few times we have asked rla helpline for advice they were not great; rather than telling us the law they just dont know and greatly err on the side of caution.  in the end we actually got correct info from shelter as much as it pains me to say!  we pretended to be tenants...not sure if they give advice to landlords?!

I do however endorse the rla and their lobbying.
