    Loft insulation

Hi does.anyone know of any good loft insulation companies. My property is in York 3'bed detached. Also what is the going rate? I had been hoping 300' pounds but being quoted 500 pounds. Its not a big house 7m square loft I think. I don't qualify for any grant and it's not got a tenant in it at the moment who would either. NB My quotes are for 300mm depth.. There are no complications. Its empty.

You used to be able to get grants or even have it done for free under various energy saving schemes, Are you really sure you still can't? check these out fully before spending money

£500 is too dear IMO, its not hard to do yourself, have you considered this?  or getting a handyman to do it? Every landlord needs to have a local handyman to be able to call on

Thank you I will check again but grants have now changed to be only for people in receipt of benefit. I just missed the boat. I will get some quotes from handymen too but there is a bit of an art to it ie frst layer one direction 2nd at right angles so.keen to.get it done right even at wickes cost of material is about 180 pounds. Thank you though I will keep exploring.
