    Major wants UC scrapped

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-45817897

UC could cost the Tories the next election

The arrogance of this Govt is undeniable

The more I see the more I believe the Tories will lose the next election and where will that leave us?

Someone once told me that UC was around a long time ago, and they have just recycled it back out now. Is this true?

From the few interviews I have seen of John Major he seems to have lost his mind!

I think Brexit will be the downfall of May, not UC

The new  prospective PM can then gain votes by ditching UC and revising S24

Major still has some influence and respect and will add some fuel to the fire

November  5th is approaching fast so extra fireworks all round this year I suspect

    Brexit and UC have similarities.

Both as ideas are very justifiable and would work well with proper planning.

Yet both are becoming a total mess due to poor implementation by incompetent politicians.

Based on Radio 4 reporting - UC is a good idea but it will leave some individuals worse off - apparently up to the tune of £2k pa.

We have a £2 trillion national debt. What do people expect?
