    Membership of landlord association mandatory?

Hi there- as a landlord is it necessary to be apart of the national landlords association?
    Thoughts please

At the present time, it is not mandatory to be a member of any landlord association, of which there are several.

However, it is advised for the support you can access and also lending your voice to the important campaigns the landlord associations undertake to promote landlords' best interests.

Property Tribes is partnered with the Residential Landlords Association (RLA) and we off our members a 25% discount off the membership fee.

I hope you will join and enjoy all the benefits! Smile

Thankyou for your swift reply! I have read so many of your posts and it’s really good to know that I can ask any question here and you and others offer great balanced advise! Thankyou! I will look into the RLA!

Look into both RLA and NLA - both their memberships are reasonably priced and offer slightly different benefits. we chose to be a member of both this year.

RLA   are almost always offering discounts,   always trying to undercut NLA, to increase membership up the greater level of NLA.

RLA are also to much ' in-bed ' with Local Authorities,  partnering with them on their pernicious Licensing schemes and then getting a discount for RLA members ( instead of fighting against Licensing schemes.
