    Moo cards - 20% off to new customers

    A number of folks know I use business cards printed by Moo.com. They allow a high degree of customization, fast turn around (printed in London so quick UK delivery) and very low prices for what is offered.
    I received an email recently where I can pass along a 20% discount to anyone who has not ordered them before (new customers). The details are below. Pass it on if you know someone else looking for high quality yet inexpensive cards.
    Simply share (or forward) your unique 'referral' code: 87PWJ2 with a friend who's never bought from MOO before, and they'll get a 20% discount off any 1 MOO product*.
    The code expires on 29th May 2009.

    50 business cards for £10.99, 100 mini cards for £9.99 (plus shipping).
    Use the cards to spread the word. You can add photos, images, a USP or other service statements on the cards (front or back). You can use the cards as an ad for a 1 off promotion or when you are running a charity event. Consider putting your Twitter ID on the card or other link to your brand. If you want to get the word out about a website or other online resource create a batch of cards and hand them out at events.
    An example of last minute decisions, I ordered after midnight on a Wednesday and the cards where shipped from London Friday afternoon. You can even use the cards with different messages on the back if you want to test market different tag lines or promotions. 100 cards can be broken into groups of 10 cards each for 10 different messages. 2 groups of 50, 3, groups of ~33, 4 groups of 25, etc.
    There is a Green option for those who want to be 100% recyclable.

    Thanks for this John. This is an excellent service. Nick has just had some cards printed for his new social media graffiti site. The quality of the card is very good as it is important that your brand is represented by good quality (not cheap/thin) card.

    Extending what you said and declaring that I am not a graphics designer, etc.
    I know Moo allows one to upload an image so someone who design or buys a design that is tailored to their business can then use that image on the front and back of the card. You get the low cost of a mass market operation with the ability to really focus on the brand image.
    I find the cards that are less recyclable make a better impact as they are thinker and have a plastic coating. I am using the Green option. I expect the photo of me to grab there attention given so few people in this country have a personal photo on the card. Few will notice that the Green card is less thick or feels less impressive to the touch.

    I have seen people hand out cards that have specific questions so the receiver is encouraged to address the question. In one case it was something along the lines of an appointment to have their mortgage reviewed. The person would fill in a time and date for when they would be coming in. Something agreed with the person in the booth who is selling the service.
    Other times I have see RE investors ask questions about the other person's personal life? The questions you would ask to find motivated sellers (death, divorce, debt, dependence). Something like "If you are going through a divorce or are having problems paying the bills receive a free consultation with a trained advisor". Or a a question for a RE investor where you ask if they are paying too much in tax or if they need their portfolio reviewed to increase cash flow.
    Some people will have multiple cards. The one you hand out to someone you meet in a bar (a personal card) and the one you had out to a prospect. Or a card that you hand out for referral business where you make it clear you pay for referrals.
    I like the Moo business model as I can experiment inexpensively and then just keep ordering more of what is working.

    I was talking with Edward (possible option deal) and he mentioned that he had ordered and received his new cards from Moo. I just love the turn around. Order and receive the order in the same week.
