I see the Conservative Govt have realised that they have to make more funding available for the NHS
Where do you think the extra money will come from?
If you were in Govt what would you tax more?
My own feeling is Income Tax will rise.

You omitted the obvious, more tax on landlords. Squeeze 'm till the pips squeak.
I did not mention it because I think it’s as plain as the nose on your face we will be taxed a great deal more
Its all held in the savings stashed inside that Brexit Bus I thought

That’s what we were told so it has to be true
Actually there is a pretty decent case for prosecuting Johnson and Gove under Section 2 of the Fraud Act 2006 - fraud by misrepresentation.
If so you'd have to presecute many remainers too. Those that predicted a disaster just for voting for exit,. e.g. George Osborne predicted an immediate year long recession and half a million extra unemployed.
The alternative to increased taxation is to reduce spending elsewhere. Then the question is which sector's budgets could be reduced to increase the Health Sector budget?
When you look at inflation and where the Higher Rate Income Tax threshold should be It should be around 60k not where it is today
we have Police officers and nurses paying high rate tax on average jobs
we now have VAT at 20%
If you look at someone who works and pays HR Income tax they will be paying 53% ish now
The problem we have is the NHS is doing so much more than it was ever intended
we are ageing and we will soon have a UK where we will have more on pensions than there are working
Its all down to bad planning every Govt has kicked the can down the road
and now the Can cant be kicked any further
We will all pay more and more Because as Ken Clark said the NHS is a religion in the UK so it cant be faulted or touched
Also look at
how much someone can earn before paying basic rate tax
how much someone can earn and still get tax credits
how few hours some people choose to work and have income topped up by tax credits
how many free child care places there are
I expect they will all be left alone and tax will be increased across the board but mostly for HRT payers.
