Read our blog - The Facts about the Tenant Fee Ban.
Okay Lah is a disintermediary website similar to an AutoTrader or ebay who removes the middleman, we remove the agent and connect landlords with tenants by giving you full control of your property page whilst providing support and additional services to assist landlords.
Thant’s what we do, this is what we have done.
We have built the platform over the past two years, attended several meetings with the regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with the legal requirements introduce in 2013 by Sir Vince Cable and now have the opportunity to offer our services to landlords, we ask for your support by listing your properties for free but only If you would like to manage your property yourself.
This is why.
We believe in freedom of choice and to advertise your property online with a property portal you are obligated to work with an agency, Okay Lah is a dedicated property portal created to give you the choice to do-it-yourself for free.
I hope this answers your question and we would love to work with you.
Utilise a bespoke, easy to use, super secure dashboard that gives landlords total control
Never lose key certificates, licences, reports or documents again with OkayLah you keep on track with all correspondence securely stored in one place
Communicate directly with tenants and manage your property online
Cut out the middle man and save time and money on fees
Eliminate traditional aggravation associated with managing property through an agent.
Wow that sounds good. A much clearer pitch. I'd be happy to list in principle. Do you cater for various types of property/tenancy? ... he says heading to have a look.
I have just signed up thinking it was FREE for life, to find that you charge for standard and premium listings
We do offer a free listing and in normal circumstances there is a time limit which we have removed for any landlord who would like to support us, providing you own the property you will have full access to your page. You can activate or remove your page at any time so you have full control for life. We do not discriminate between any of the listing services so our SEO work remains the same for all properties regardless. We also offer additional services to compliment the free listing which are at reduced costs for example your personalised To Let / For Sale board, post and fixings, SMS and video which are optional.
But I do take your point so to demonstrate our commitment I will include a voucher for the following:
Free listing will remain Free
Standard Listing is £35.00 so for Property Tribes we will reduce to £1.00 (inc vat)
Premium Listing is £65.00 so for Property Tribes we will reduce to £36.00 (inc vat) (this will include a bespoke To Let Board, Post and fixings)
Regardless of the listing you select our Free for Life will remain.
I hope this helps.
I thought they did:We give you secure communication between the parties involved and whenever there’s an update everyone is notified within seconds, all communication and documents are logged and archived so no more looking for lost documents and wondering who said what and when. Also, the video is less than two minutes long so not a great deal of time to invest if you are interested to learn more.
Vanessa Warwick Landlord and Co-Founder of PropertyTribes.com **If you have got value from Property Tribes, find out how you can support it in remaining a free to use community resource**
Slightly skeptical on this one.
I *did* watch the video and viisited the website
The idea of a third party muscling in to help me talk directly to Ts is a little contrarian. I have this called a telephone that lets me talk, and a thing called email oand another one called SMS that lets me write to them.
There is an advertising / listings side but when I visit the "search for property" (https://www.okaylah.co.uk/search/propertySearch) page the number of listings in both "Greater London" and "Birmingham" is zero.
More work to do, I think.
With any new platform, it is a challenge to build up the user base. This sponsored post was hoping to get landlords to try it out. Very much a "chicken and egg" situation in these cases. One of the reasons Vesta has got traction is that the man who founded it populated it with his own portfolio of 200 tenanted properties for sale, so there was stock on there for sale from Day One it was launched.
Venessa is correct, we do have a "chicken and egg" situation and we do need your support to continue our journey, we need properties on the site so we can demonstrate the technology and place your property on the first two pages of Google and Bing so we can connect landlords with tenants within seconds.
With any new business you must believe in what you are doing and we believe in freedom of choice, legislation was passed in 2013 and even today homeowners and landlords are unable to advertise their property online or communicate directly and are obligated to use the services of agency’s when they are more than capable of doing it themselves. The majority of landlords will have a good relationship with their agent and that will continue, and there will be those who are focused on reducing costs and have the time and the ability to do-it-themselves, its those landlords we would love to work with.
We will give you everything you need to manage your property page online and if you register we will give you your property page for life, while you own the property you will have full access to your property page.
