    OpenRent - issues with communication

    Hi.

Just wondering if everyone has much experience of Open Remt? I have put a cracking property on with them and so far had 2 enquiries and both never turned up.

When I call the number that each enquiry gave, there was no answer. I am starting to think that the enquiries are just fake. Any thoughts ??

I've used it multiple times and had loads of good enquiries, literally within minutes of posting.  I find it so simple to advertise the property and take it through to getting the tenant settled.  On my last, the tenant commented how smooth it was.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes the concept seems perfect but the timing of the visits the enquiries requested seemed strange and after the first no show I was 100% sure that the second one would not turn up and my thoughts were proved to be correct.

I've used OpenRent recently and found it worked well.

I did get a couple of "alternative" enquiries but a quick call soon made them obvious so no further time wasted.

I generally found the response quieter than I expected but I think that's the market in my area rather than anything related to OpenRent. There were still enquiries sufficient for several viewings and new tenants are now lined up.

have used open rent for the last 3 years very good product

I price my adverts high and reduce over time till i hit the sweet spot ie when the enquiries rise dramatically

I always start a month before the property becomes vacant and never have voids save a week to do redeocaration

I wouldn't read too much into it, I have a fair proportion of no-shows whichever way I advertise,  it's not unique to Openrent.

Indeed on another topic my firm were recruiting last week and only 50% of people showed up for the job interview!

More a case of humans having less manners these days than anything wrong with Openrent who I've used successfully in the past.

I have had the same experience with Open Rent - barely any calls and poor quality applicants, yet with Upad whilst I only receive a few calls, it usually lets out to the first or 2nd person who views.  I don't understand why this should be the case as Open Rent advertise on the same major portals as Upad - unless i am mistaken?
