    Property Bee

    Hi,
Has anyone been using Property Bee?
For those that haven't, it is a usful add-on to Firefox that shows the history of a property on Rightmove (how long it has been on the market for and any price changes).
However, in my experience it has recently only been showing the history from the date you search it, ie. if it is a new search it only shows information from the present.
Has anyone been experiencing similar problems or knows what the problem might be?
    Cheers,
    Jake

    Hi Jake,
Property-Bee seems build up the history as result of all users searches. So if you look into an area which has not been searched by anyone else before, you won't get historical values. If you search a busier areas ie. major cities, you'll see the full history even if you personally never searched this area before.
I have not noticed a difference recently.

    Hi Angela,
    Thanks.
May be I had been exceptionally lucky for the searches I was completing before. My searches are London based but maybe as they are quite specific suddenly over the last couple of weeks I have found very few have a history to them??!
    All the best,
    Jake

That is really strange! I'd assume there are many of little bees doing the same search. Unlikely you found a niche in London, or? I only experience this if I search a place in the middle of nowhere.

    Hi Guys
I know that Richard Shepherd has developed a tool that works on a similar basis to pull comparables from a number of sites when researching a property or an area.
I have not used it but am looking for a copy and feedback anybody has.
    Regards

Richard's valuation toolbar is a accumulation of a variety of websites such as hometrack, nethouseprices, maps etc. If you key in the postcode it opens all the websites in the same time using the postcode.
You can download it for free here https://www.themasterminduniversity.com/V...assic.html
It's a different tool than Property-Bee. The toolbar helps with the valuation/research and Property-Bee shows how long properties have been on the market and the value history on rightmove.
Just stumbled over this: https://userscripts.org/scripts/show/54902. It shows the rightmove properties all on a map, but I can't get it to work. It's a bit like nestoria I guess.

    Hi,
    I've just found the answer!
You need to make sure that the toolbar is "talking to Property-Bee". If it is switched off, you can turn this on by hovering over the toolbar on the right hand side. If it has a red stop sign, click on this to allow communication. The toolbar will now show the marketing history of the property on Rightmove, with price changes - very useful! Before it was only occasionally showing history, maybe of users' previous searches as Angela suggested..
    Thanks for you help :o)
