    Property Bonds??

Has anyone ever invested in property bonds?

I was reading about them and they seem to carry significant risk as there does not seem to be enough protection.

Just wondered if anyone on PT has had any experience of this.

Sounds too good to be true - somehow- with the 9-10 percent yeilds- This seems a risk to capital but may be someone here may think different.

There are many different types of property bonds offered by a variety of companies, can you provide a link to the type of bond you are referring to.

I actually just stumbled accross this whilst researching the internet for high interest account and this came up with other accounts.

I have been doing this with the banks for many years with no problem. Interest rates tend to reduce every year but at least the money is safe.

I just googled but will see if i can find the link and will send. Like Vanessa said it did sound too good to be true? 9 to 10 percent interest in a year???

    Thanks a lot.

I follow the suggestion never to invest in something that cannot be understood in 2 minutes!

And if something sounds too good to be true, it is, every time, without fail, no exceptions.

Glenn Armstrong and property bonds being mentioned in the same sentence is enough to put me off completely.

You are so right. Was wondering how they can afford to pay that much interest in this climate.

    Many thanks
