    Property Insight / Aran Curry - anyone invested with these guys?

    if anyone has any experience with Property Insight / Aran Curry (property portfolio building company) based in Scarborough

    i'd be interested to know if anyone has used their portfolio building services and any comments (good or bad)

    We are completing our sixth BTL with Property Insight next month. We have always found Aran and his team to be very helpful.
    The Property Insight model relies on house prices going up 4% p.a. in the medium to long term, if you don't think this is the case Property Insight might not be for you.
    We were advised from the outset that we would get the occasional bad payer, and property damage. Property Insight advised us that we should allow £ 1,000 p.a. for maintenance and to take this in to account when assessing the viability of any property.
    Before we started Aran came to visit us in Newcastle and we went to Scarborough to visit him and his team.
    My wife and I both work full time so using Property Insight to source, refurb prior to letting and then manage the letting suits us very well.
    Property Insight describe there model as Safe and Secure which I believe it is, I would describe it as a Get Rich Slowly scheme rather than Get Rich Quick.

    Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I'm wondering how your investment with Aran went all these years later?

    I sat through a webinar hosted by Aran last night where he used pretty much the same model you described (only he assumed 5% growth instead of 4%). He also suggested to own the properties in your personal name and not a Ltd Co - which based on his model I can understand because if you remortgage in a Ltd co you cannot extract the money without paying tax.
