Property Tribes is costing me a fortune

Just to say that there has been so many fantastic discussions over the last few days, I've spent so much time on here that I've actually ran out of mobile data on my phone and had to top it up for the first time ever.

Six bleeding quid to add an extra Gig.

Could you guys start a whip round for me please?

May I suggest you change contracts to a 3 mobile on the ONE tariff.
    FREE smart phone
    2000 x net mins
    5000 texts
    5000 323 mins
UNLIMITED DATA or rather it is limited to 1000GB per month!!!
I use on average 40gb a month on my phone as I tether it to my computer.
It is the ONLY tariff that allows tethering in the UK.
Cost about £14.87 via cashback and cash paid back sites. for a 24 month contract.
Only hassle you have to send in the bills every 3 months for the full cashback.
You can also use abroad in certain countries for 3 months per year at no extra costs.
    Conditions apply.

Bizarre; don't understand what the problem is.
I have no issue with the Bombay call centre.
Found them more than helpful even though I might have to coach the correct info out of them especially as regards their new 'Feel at Home ' conditions.
But not that I'm banging 3's drum; but I've been with them for years.
    Not going to change either.
The tariffs get better every time I renew and i seem to pay less!!
I wouldn't choose any other provider unless they offered a deal like 3 does.
Data usage is now something that is used far more than phone calls.
I have effectively UNLIMITED data usage on the phone and using via a computer etc.
NO other provider offers such unlimited computer data usage and on the phone as well.
For those who do not wish to have a fixed line contract then the the 3 solution is ideal.
I have no fixed line service as I don't need it.
Appreciate domestic circumstances are different; but for me 3 is all I need!

    LOL!

Thank you for all your contributions too Daniel.

The forum has got incredibly busy since just after Christmas. Great to see new members joining daily and old members who have been away for a while, returning.

It's very healthy to have new members as they widen the knowledge and experience pool and it's always more healthy (for learning and growth purposes) to be a small fish in a big pond, rather than a big fish in a small pond!

Many people also recognise the "sticky-ness" of Property Tribes on google, which makes it a great place to build your personal brand and google footprint and attract new people to you and what you do.

Unlike Facebook (which is a walled garden and closed to google), Property Tribes is "open" to google and posts are very find-able via search engines.

When there are so many social media sites to choose from, and a limited amount of time, this makes PT a wise choice for property people to invest their time in, in order to benefit from their contributions (if that is what they would like from spending time here).

You have highlighted one of the key benefits of PT Vanessa, thank you for pointing it out to anyone who may not be aware. I have previously been contacted by people who were searching the web for an answer to a particular property question; when they typed in their question to Google, my historical answer to their question within a PT thread popped up on the 1st page of Google.....immense

....and often they are not even members of PT....at that point

Thanks again for providing this fantastic platform Vanessa.

I think for me the benefit is it allows me to validate my thinking particularly around strategy, I can't talk about this stuff with friends and family as they're not business minded. Also of course a great chance to learn from seriously experienced and diverse people.

Saying that I'm back to work tomorrow after a couple of weeks off for Xmas break, so will have to get my forum addiction back under control !!

    Daniel,
There is no such thing as a forum addiction. There is only the choice of doing the things you love more often than doing the things you have to.

    Vanessa,
I echo Daniel's thanks to you for providing a great forum platform. Thank you.

Thanks Daniel for your kind comments.

Hopefully the knowledge you have gained here as saved you more than a few £££'s in poor decisions. Smile

Your post has inspired this new thread:

Top 4 social media sites property professionals should invest time in to achieve an ROI on time invested

    Lol Huw....

You are quite right.... 3 are otherwise very good - bar one (major) Achilles heel; their customer service in Mumbai.... apparently they are looking at offering some UK based support - but until they do, I will not be going back to 3.

    @Kevin

Thank you for illustrating my point so eloquently about PT's role in helping you build a google footprint and one of the benefits of contributing here. Smile
