Property Tribes is pleased to announce that Keller Williams have joined the site as sponsors of our Entrepreneurs Tribe.Worthy of its own Wikipedia entry, Keller Williams is a global brand. It was founded in 1983 by Gary Keller and Joe Williams, and has grown from a single office in Austin, Texas to approximately 900+ offices with over 170,000 associates worldwide as of the time of writing. It is the largest real estate franchise by agent count in the world, and one of the largest privately held global residential real estate brokerages.Keller Williams have now arrived in the UK and are looking for entrepreneurial people who would like to start their own property business.
Nick Tadd, owner of Property Tribes commented:"Property Tribes saw immediate synergy with Keller Williams, not only because their culture of collaboration and sharing, but also because of their unique business model and structure. In recent times, we have had a number of discussions about young people who cannot afford to get into the sector, asking for advice if there are ways of doing so. We have also heard of landlords wishing to start their own letting agency to combat the effects of Section 24, and the Keller Williams proposition provides an affordable answer to both.Having recently launched in the U.K., Keller Williams will surely have a significant impact on estate agency here and Property Tribes is pleased to be with them at the start of their journey and along for the ride.We look forward to working with Keller Williams to provide entrepreneurial content and ideas for business growth and assisting landlords in developing other income streams and Keller Williams will also be sponsoring our "Young Entrepreneurs Week 2018" later in the year".Find out more about estate agency careers with Keller Williams If you have any questions about the Keller Williams proposition, please ask them here and Nick Harris of KW will be happy to answer them.SEE ALSO - How To: Start a Property Management company.UP NEXT - Property before 30DON'T MISS - Advice please - 27 year old newbieNOW WATCH:
Welcome to the UK KW! Great to hear of the service you’re providing to help landlords create additional income.Landlords have been talking to us about how they can sell their tenanted property and be retained as the managing agent - makes sense given they know the property and tenant better than anyone else, so this resonates and is something we’re exploring too.
Just adding this new video which shares some great insights into the Keller Williams story:

Congratulations to Keller Williams who have just announced the opening of their fourth UK office.
The company already has offices - which it calls ‘market centres’ - in the centre of Leeds, London’s Mayfair and its most recent in central Glasgow.
The next office is in the London Bridge area of the capital.
As is the case with the existing market centres, it will provide office and training facilities for agents who set up their own businesses within the Keller Williams model.
Keller Williams agents pay a monthly fee in return for which they receive training, can list under the KW brand logo on Rightmove and Zoopla, receive admin support, CRM facilities and human resources support.Full/source article
The UK arm of the US-based estate agency Keller Williams says it is making a specific bid to recruit more women and men with childcare responsibilities.
In an interview with Estate Agent Today, KW’s managing director in the UK - former Countrywide senior manager Ben Taylor - says his new company’s way of working would make it easier for individuals who want to juggle family and career.
“Women make great estate agents but only 15 per cent of agents are women. Why is that? And there are 1.7m graduate mothers who don’t return to work because of childcare responsibilities - and the sheer cost of childcare - or because there aren’t the jobs available to allow them to combine family and career” says Williams.Full/source article
The UK division of Keller Williams, the world's largest estate agency, says it can help entrepreneurial agents to set up their own business for under £200 per month.
The agency, led in the UK by a former managing director of Countrywide’s John D Wood , is seeking agents to work out of hub offices called market centres, which give the individual agents desk space, IT support, CRM systems and training facilities.
“Our model reduces the risk associated with starting an agency business. Our worldwide growth is driven by a simple concept which allows agents to launch their own business with access to leading training and technology for a few hundred pounds” says Ben Taylor.Full/source articleThe renumeration structure is explained in this video:
Interesting how many agents in this video from Keller Williams in America describe how they used lettings income to build a cash reserve as deposits for investment properties.
How much do they charge to join them Vanessa?
Is it like a franchise?
Hi John,I don't really want to get involved in discussing the commercials as I think it is better you get it from the horse's mouth so to speak and of course it may change over time. But I believe, at the time of writing, it is around £200.00 per month to join for training, a desk, and the access to Rightmove/Zoopla, plus access to their systems to build your business. It would be advisable to use the contact options on their website which include email, phone, and on-line chat. You can even email their MD direct as he is completely open and approachable, which gives you an idea of the culture of the company. bentaylor (at) kwuk.com
If it is £200 per month including a desk without tens of thousands up front, then that sounds rather appealing!
Plus I do love the way our American cousins do customer service!
I'll have a chat with them.
Many thanks for our interest in Keller Williams and I’m pleased the model is of possible interest. Did you make contact with anyone at KW? Forgive me if you have - Id just like to check that you’ve found the information you require at this stage.
if I can help please drop me a line directly at email@example.com
