    Quick sale solution needed after chain break

    We have had a break in the chain of  a property we own.

    Its based in the Peak District would make an ideal holiday let or profitable resale as a residential with with a few external upgrades.

    If anyone can offer any solutions rather just to relist on the open market please let me know

    There are companies out there that will pay approx 90% of the agreed sale price when the chain breaks down,i

    In addition, a property trader (ltd or llp) can get stamp duty exemption where it buys a property that rebuilds a broken chain. They can do incidental works but must resell it for the exemption to apply

    David, very interesting, I did not know about stamp duty exemption under this circumstance!

    also an exemption for probate sales to a property trader who resells after incidental works (approx £20k)
