    Raheem Sterling enters Buy To Let

    There was an article today which mentioned Raheem Sterling's girlfriend has completed a course in property development and made her first purchase of six new builds in Stockport, Greater Manchester, and is now renting them out for £750 per month each.

    The total cost for the six new builds was just shy of £1m

    For those that know the area - would you like to critique the deal?

    England football ace Raheem Sterling has invested some of his £300k-a-week salary by purchasing all six properties on this housing development in Stockport, Greater Manchester

    They are probably (and seem to be) unencumbered - MILIAN PROPERTY GROUP LIMITED (11869812).

    Good for them, id of probably seek to build rather than buy New Build. Other than that dont know area.

    I don’t know much about reddish, I’m buying a terrace in edgeley and my understanding is reddish a little cheaper, slightly less popular. I think the return is not bad, capital growth should be good. Being new build you’ll have little maintenance issues. All in all I think it’s not exciting but not a bad investment. Very hassle free, Stockport is a good area to invest in my opinion. Lots of growth and gentrification.

    Stockport is my home town, bless it.

    House prices are stable and growing. Reddish is good for rent and there always a demand in reddish. Edgeley is the same.

    Cheadle hulme / bramhall / hale are your areas where there's some big money house wise.

    Conclusion - not a bad investment.

    We had some clients invest in similar properties that we sourced in Reddish about 18 months ago and have done very well with growth between (15-20%). It was a mill conversion with houses next to it and an example is our clients bought 2-bed houses for £180k and they are now selling for £220k.

    Reddish is a good example of an underloved area close to both Manchester and Stockport city centres (employment hubs) that is now regenerating which is what we look for.
