    Selling Furnished BTL

    Hi There,

I became an accidental landlord when I began to rent out my furnished apartment due to moving for work.  I've now sold it to another investor so I can pursue better opportunities in the North.

As part of the deal the property's furnishings, fittings, appliances, TV's etc. were included in the sale.

The fixtures and fittings were once part of my own home, however some have been renewed.

Ahead of contacting my accountant for proper advice, would it be sensible to sell the property and furniture etc. separately - would it be tax advantageous?

    thanks,

    Tom
