    Shocking Discovery Regarding EICRs!

Recently, a number of properties have came to us from landlords VERY unhappy at the service they have received from their letting agents. We check EICRs as part of our due diligence process. On a few properties, no EICR existed although the landlord had been charged for it. On others, while checking with the electrician who carried out the work, we found a handful where they have not been a member of an approved organisation such as SELECT, NAPIT etc

It's worth checking that not only has your letting agent carried out the correct due diligence but that it's been done by properly approved tradespeople....

LETS MAKE HOMES by treating landlords as partners, tenants as customers & every property as our own."

I do EICR's for about 80% of my work and there are many glaring errors

I regularly come across ones that are unsigned / don't say if it is satisfactory or not / have C2 or C1 codes but still are listed as satisfactory.

There is much more but I could go on.
