    Sourcing Leads

I have bought most of my deals in the past via leafletting, newspapers, internet leads (and even a postcard).

HOWEVER, I have not done advertising for the last few years as focus has been on building up an HMO portfolio so decided to go via agents

Theory aside, can anyone share their experiences of what is working well in their area. I have had several people approach me recently to help them build a portfolio in Nottingham so deciding what approach to take at the current time

    Any input appreciated

    Hi Raj,

    Thinking laterally ...

You say you have had several people approach you recently looking for help ...

By what mechanism did they find you?

If you can replicate that so that leads find you, rather than you finding them, then that would be lead sourcing gold! Wink

    Hint.

[Image: house.png]Does leafletting still work to find motivated sellers?

    Vanessa

I have spoken at a few meetings recently so people have heard how I am building my portfolio. One couple have approached me last week to hand hold them over the next few years to build a small portfolio. Have money. No time

A few years ago I was marketing for direct to vendor for leads so just asking how people are successfully sourcing leads these days

Have you considered producing a video explaining how you operate and how you can help people who wish to sell their property quickly?

With the recent OFT warning into quick-sale houses, you have to be careful how you advertise and the kind of claims you make.

I personally believe that you need to populate the web with information of how you help people, and build a huge google footprint so that people wanting to sell will find you, rather than you finding them.

A video is a good place to start with that. A simple animated one like the one we did for Property Tribes can be produced on Sparkol.
