The following is a sponsored content on behalf of iHowz. The Southern Landlords Association (SLA) has always had membership base that spans the breadth of the United Kingdom, and enjoys an excellent reputation after 45 years of representing professional landlords.Research, however, indicates that many potential members are put off from joining the SLA because they perceive that the SLA represents the interest of only landlords situated in the south of the country. After much consideration, the SLA has decided to re-brand to iHowz, to improve membership numbers, and consequently services to members – iHowz where the i is for information; the How is How to do things correctly - and is pronounced as in ‘I house tenants’'.iHowz will continue the ethos of the SLA to be the friendly face of landlord associations and will additionally change their motto to ‘The Professional Association for Landlords’ and will continue to seek justice for landlords. It is notable that the SLA were the only association to support Mr Kumarasamy in the extremely important case of Edwards v Kumarasamy in 2016 whereby all owners of leasehold property gained from this legislation changing action. Note, all owners, whether members or not; that has helped a lot of landlords. However, iHowz can only continue to fight for justice by having a strong vibrant membership – it is a not-for-profit association; using the majority of the income to help landlords.
In addition to the geographical widening, iHowz will be introducing a number of new services:-
