    Spreadsheets idea

    Hi All

I own 1 BTL on my personal name and I plan to buy second one on the ltd company. I was wondering if you can reccommend excel spreadsheet which can be used to enter all income, expenditure data including ROI and Yield? Can you help? Thanks for your recommendations.

I would build a simple one for yourself, that way when you start using it and realise there are a few tweaks you would like, you have access to the raw calculations and you understand them

    Hi Kilopeta,

I user excel spreadsheets day in day out in my job. I can certainly set one up for you if you let me know exactly what you want it to include.

    Thanks

    Hi Tommy

Thanks for the reply. I would like to include company expenses, management fees, loan, typical for single btl.

Hi the best items to include under expenses is a replica of all the items listed in a self assessment return, this way you can simply copy the final numbers at the end of the year into your SA form !

also set he excel sheet to enable you to enter under a monthly basis and se the sheet up to auto calculate under a TOTAL column at the end this way you have a running balance up to the minute, and lastly use one sheet per property and the first sheet should show the total for all properties again broken down as monthly and total.
