  • Problem Tenants

Statutory demand or High Court Enforcement?

I have an ex tenant who owes me over £5,000. I have used a tracing company to locate him.

My solicitors have now asked me if I want to proceed with serving a Statutory demand or High Court Enforcement agent.

What are your thoughts? Which one is more likely to get positive results do you think?

    Hi Ceeme,

I think first before thinking about serving a Bankruptcy Demand, you need to know a bit more about the debtor, where are they working, do they have other debts etc.

Do they own a car, have any assets, did they rent from you full furnished.

Best to establish the above, then decide what route.

We offer fixed fees for debt recovery, have a look at all our services.
