    Tenant Referencing and Agreement

    Hi,

First my first BTL property I used my local letting agent to find me a tenant one off fee of £495 which included tenant referencing, tenant agreement, inventory etc..

I am in the process of getting another BTL property and have someone interested in it already, whats is the best way people have to find to reference a possible tenant? Also wheres the best place to get a tenancy agreement? and could you do the inventory yourself with the tenant present? Obviously I will gas safe, elec cert etc ready for them

All help and advice appreciated, I'm new to this but would like to look into finding me own tenants in the future

I presume that was tenant find only, as opposed to fully managed?, as £495 sounds very expensive; I pay £150 plus vat for tenant find, which they call "landlord start-up fee".

I use Open Rent for referencing.
