    The future of property viewings?

Don't think it's far off when viewings will be available in virtual reality like this... http://showroom.littleworkshop.fr/

For amatuer viewers maybe, but too much room for photoshopping and virtual improvements. Its already in fact being used by developers trying to shift new builds. I suppose its fine for a quick first view but nobody will make any decision based on it.

Agreed.  A good nose around in person's the only way I'd view a property.

With google earth and video tours and floor plans  and now virtual viewings I can get a very good sense from my armchair and yes  it saves  a lot of time as some i can reject out of hand and save the petrol money. But its the touch  smell   aura and the karma which a property offers which  is always the clincher for me. and cannot be reproduced online. I believe in 500 years a 6th sense with be scientifically proven

Also viewings are not all about the property itself it may be about the next property after that .

Sometimes i view a property that I may be unlikely to buy more to build the rapport with the agent  and to keep me on their radar for the next one  which is the one i really want.to buy

Totally agree with all comments. This will be handy for narrowing down the selection and saving your petrol for the actual viewings for the properties that have passed the online test.

Another thing I wish agents would do is walk around the property and simply record it as if it were a real viewing. That doesn't need any fancy technology, just a mobile phone. They then put that online and let people view it before they book an actual viewing. This would definitely save a lot of time.
