Property Tribes was delighted to visit the National Self Build and Renovation Centre yesterday. The National Self Build & Renovation Centre is the UK’s only permanent visitor centre for self builders, renovators & home improvers! This unique learning resource is based in Swindon and is a great day out for landlords and property developers.Property Consultant Kate Faulkner was one of the team involved in setting up the centre, and she gave us a guided tour of the facility:
As mentioned, it is free to visit the centre and there is lots of free parking.NSBRC - Lydiard Fields,Great Western Way,Swindon SN5 8UBTelephone : 0345 2234455You can find a list of exhibitors >>> here. The website is also a great resource and there are all sorts of events and training courses going on.National Self Build and Renovation Centre website As mentioned in the video, Property Tribes is thinking of organising a day at the centre where we will invite some of our developer members along to talk about their projects and also have lunch and networking. If you would be interested in attending such an event, please email me at vanessawarwick (at) icloud.com or comment on this thread.SEE ALSO - Property Tribes welcomes CheckatradeUP NEXT - Top 12 Property Tribes refurbishment resources for developersDON'T MISS - Growing a property portfolio - resourcesNOW WATCH:

Yes I would attend such an event.
i would attend
Its not an event, its a centre. Its not really aimed at landlords, it has some interesting ideas about renewable energy and fancy window/balconies, all really quite expensive....
Ive been there a few times as I sometimes have to hang around swindon waiting for a few hours for work. It's full of empty stands with advertising. Every time I have gone there has been nobody else there, if you watch the video you will see there seems to be very little in the way of activity.
Don't get me wrong its ok if you are doing a high end redevelopment and want to get some ideas but I wouldn't travel too far to visit.
My partner and I would be interested in attending as we have just been offered a development site.
