    Traditional vs online auctions

    hi.

I'd be interested in hearing the experiences of people who have bought via traditional auctions and also online auctions.  Are traditional auctions better ?

I'm a cash buyer so would I better sticking with traditional auctions?

I'm assuming the high fees that the buyer pays is the main issue with online and you have to factor that in when bidding.  ?

I bought a flat in an online auction last year, the fees would have been I think £9,000. I told the agents that I want the price to include their fees, which they accepted because they didn't have any other bidders, probably because the fees are so high.

I also bought a house at a traditional auction yesterday, it was ok, not too busy, early morning in London and the Central Line was down. I ended up paying a bit more than I wanted to but I could still sell it as is through an estate agent and make £20 grand. The only thing is I have to complete in 28 days.
