What should I do with this space?

Its going to be strangthened  and boarded allowing people to store items up there (its above the bedroom) but was thinking if I could use it for anything more creative, small office maybe??

I thought about that but the police helicopters can see using thermal imaging if using to grow drugs.

If you want to use the space for anything other than storage and have it officially recognised as habitable space it will need to comply with Building Regulatons, so as well as strengthening the floor you'll need to insulate the roof, demonstrate ventilation requirements are met and that the method of access (ladder? stair?) and head clearances  are compliant too.   I don't think a window is needed though.

You could open vault the ceiling instead to give the room below a greater feeling of space - removing the ceiling joists might not be possible though if they're tying the rafters or restraining the wall as the result would be roof spread which would push the walls out -  you'll need advice from a Structural Engineer to determine if it's possible.
