What to do for a signature?

So I'm looking to buy some more property in the near future but each time I do my Conveyancer wants a countersignatory on the contract. I find this awkward and a pain, it's not that I can't find anyone but it's more that I struggle to find someone who I would be comfortable disclosing my financial dealings with. I mean at my age I should be able to sign by myself without feeling like a schoolkid running around asking for a consent form to be signed, it's quite frankly embarrassing and awkward.

In the past I have managed to find someone even if it was the Conveyancer's secretary. However, this is fine for the occasional purchase but if I was to start flipping property it could get awkward asking the same person each time. Furthermore some people I know may not take well to it if they are in an inferior financial position or get jealous and think I'm wealthier than I am. I imagine landlords with large portfolios might have found finding the right person difficult. I'm guessing I would need a countersignatory on selling property as well though I have not sold property to date.

I've heard that a countersignatory is not legally needed but is often asked for as a back up. I would be happy not having one if this were the case as I follow through on what I commit to and don't like to complicate matters. Does anyone on here know of a Conveyancer who dies not ask for a countersignatory? My one seems to insist on it on the forms they send along. Any thoughts on this that could help?
