    Where to find commercial properties?

I’m looking to buy a commercial property for my next investment, where do people recommend to find properties for sale?

I’ve looked on Rightmove - the commercial section but are there other websites/places designed for the just commercial properties for sale?

    Thanks

Try looking in The Landsite (*Moderator note: Link removed as member has not passed probation*).

    Good afternoon

Over the years I’ve bought  a lot of commercial property the first thing to do is to contact all the commercial agents direct they are very poor marketing their stock

I would then consider auctions - a lot of distressed commercial property ends up in auctions it’s a great way of buying a deal

And remember there is no point in buying a commercial property unless you know there is a really good angle .

Remember also in terms of investment, commercial is a lot more risky than residential.

    Hope this helps ?

Quite right John. I agree with you. I found lots of agents promoting their commercial properties on The Landsite.

As John rightly said, the local agents are the best source for any commercial property and they do not market them properly either. Therefore, I guess the best thing is to start with a Google search on the desktop and a cycle or walk on your local high street to see all the boards out there. Mind you though, the investment properties often do not have any board on them either.

Also, yes commercial is higher yielding but they are a higher risk too so education is important and not from someone flogging him/herself as an expert on social media but self learning or even RICS does some training too.

    Hope it helps.
