Who do you use for Rental Guarantee Insurance

I'm looking at a different type of investment now with a different type of tenant, so RGI is looking more important so that I'm not left high and dry.

I've used Openrent for my rentals which has worked very well. I see they do RGI for £89 per annum. Many other companies are obviously available which offer a similar service.

Who do you use, and how has it gone if you've had to make a claim? Or any other comments?

I think there was another thread recently started about that.
OR don't charge the excess which has attracted me to that policy. Early days to tell yet though.
Alan Boswell said they're looking at a no excess option which I would certainly look at in the future if that's the case.

I already have a Boswells insurance policy but iirc it didn't work for HMO's as it was not possible to hold everyone on the tenancy/contract liable???

For a single/couple let though I think it was ok but I wasn't planning on that type of tenancy at the time.

I will get in touch with them again and see what they say so thanks for the reminder.

    Hi Adam.

We are hoping to replace our current rent guarantee policy with a nil excess version from 1st July 2019 for new business. We are able to offer rent guarantee on HMO’s, cost depends on the number of tenancy agreements in place and the tenants passing the referencing and credit checks. This works best where separate tenancy agreements are in place for each of the tenants.

    Thanks!
