Welcome to Day 4 of "Young Entrepreneurs" Week 2018.Property Tribes is celebrating young property people with a week of themed content, running through to Saturday. The week's interviews are being hosted by Chris Buckler of Keller Williams, who are powering this week.Today we meet Denzel Matsaudza who founded Like Minded Living in London.
Denzel started the company with just £1,150 in April 2016 with a mission to provide beautiful homes at affordable prices for young professionals and graduates; Like-Minded Living's properties are completed to a luxury standard, fully furnished, with super-fast broadband at a relatively low price. The company is in line to make over £1 million in turnover in 2018.
He is a Bournemouth University graduate and studied Economics at university, achieving a First-Class Degree and then followed the typical finance path working in the City for a large investment bank as a part of his graduate programme, but following that path did not float his boat.Denzel had an idea, a vision, of changing the way people rent as 1 year prior, he'd spent 12 months with the most clingy and unreasonable housemates you could imagine. Coming back home to spaghetti in the sink, was one of a few things that pushed him close to the edge.Using some money he'd saved up and a thousand pounds from parents, he started the company and millennials have warmed to his concept. The business started out as a rent-to-rent business and grew to 60 rooms conducting business in this way. However, to expand across London, it now operates as an estate agency, winning instructions directly from landlords and helping them find tenants.
We have some truly amazing young people talking to Chris about their property journey and we have no doubt that this content will inspire seasoned investors as well as newcomers! The week will run as follows:Monday - Hasan Sadik / Karan DavatwalTuesday - Sam Zawadzki / Luke GilbertWednesday - Niraj Patel / Kenneth KellyThursday - Denzel Matsaudza, / Ara MawatyFriday - Semsettin Karahan / Aiden Pattison & Rob StaceySaturday - Alex Kountourides and Rob Davis / Tom CarrAll these people are 30 years of age or under, our youngest entrepreneur Ara Mawaty being just 16 years of age, who you will find featured in the video below. Ara has already decided that a life in property is what he wants and he is working his way towards that. He has shown great initiative in reaching out to successful property people, including PT member Phil Stewardson, and asking for their advice and his goal is to start a property development company. As mentioned, the week has kindly been powered by the Keller Williams, sponsor of our "Entrepreneurs Tribe".KW are one of the most progressive, successful real estate companies in the world, the world's number one training company as voted for by Training Magazine and Forbes rate them the third best company to work for if you wish to be happy!
In five years, Keller Williams have grown from 70,000 people to over 180,000 - and are expanding rapidly. Today they operate in over thirty countries with more set to be added. They are recruiting new agents in the U.K. and are on the hunt for people who are looking to join them in their mission to take estate agency to the next level. These interviews, which feature several KW agents, are slightly longer than our normal ones, but we can guarantee that every single minute is worth watching! We do hope our community will comment and offer support and feedback to these young people.Get set for a truly inspiring and insightful week which shows that age has no bearing to achieve success within the property sector!Related EventProperty Tribes' "Young Entrepreneurs" Week has inspired a panel debate at the Property Investor Show at Excel in London on 6th October at 15.45. A big thanks to Property Tribes and Keller Williams for making this happen. I really enjoyed watching the interviews and gained some real valuable knowledge from all the young entrepreneurs. Also the production quality of these interviews is really great.
